DECIMATED : OUTPOST MAIN GATE

Another environment request for DECIMATED…
One of the areas that the team have been concentrating on building is a rather lovely Outpost. It’s a gated area that contains a huge wrecked ship, a vehicle maintenance area, a market where you can buy food, weapons and modify your body, and a rather good nightclub. Amongst other things.
I was asked to have a go at designing the main gate, and was provided with a screenshot to paint over. There’s still a lot of work to be done on the outpost and a lot of it is half built. It’s been great to see the team building all these sections and seeing it gradually get more and more detailed, and realistic as the weeks go by.
I decided to split the gate into two. The bottom section can lower into the ground to allow pedestrians into the outpost. The top section can then raise up to allow vehicles through. Alternatively I figured if only the top section raises up only air vehicles would have access.
